Wet snow changing to rain in the valley

Lots of precipitation in the forecast for the next 48 hours. A deep 970mb low situated off the BC coast will drag warmer air up from the south. Expect freezing levels to spike briefly tommorow evening to around 1700m. A frontal system will approach the coast with steady snow by morning. The snow to continue in the alpine throughout Tuesday, heavy at times. Wednesday the front pushes inland with a moist onshore flow in its wake to keep the snow going.

The outlook through Friday to continue the trend of warmer precip to take hold by next week.
