Series of Pacific Storms

A 984mb low off the Aleutian islands will begin to weaken a ridge of high pressure that has been over the area for the last week or so.

A change in the weather pattern will bring a series of disturbances to the South Coast mountains resulting in moderate snowfall for the next several days. Freezing levels should spike Thursday with cool arctic air returning by the weekend.

Alpine
Tuesday: Expect snow to begin near midday with 5-15cm possible. The freezing level should be around 600m with moderate S-SE winds.

Wednesday: Continued snowfall. 5-10cm inland, and 15-25cm near the coast. The freezing level should be around 1000m with winds increasing to strong from the S-SE.
Thursday: Moderate to heavy snowfall with an additional 15-20cm. Freezing level increasing to around 1300-1400m.
