A break for now

An upper trough will push a moist and unsettled air mass over Whistler on Sunday with cloud and some flurries. We've received 57cm in 24hrs, with high winds in the alpine Saturday gusting to 130km/ph. Sunday should be quite a bit more tame before the next pulse hits us early Monday morning.

Alpine

Tonight
Freezing level near 800 meters.Low minus 6.Further accumulations near 10-15 cm.Alpine winds southerly 40 gusting southwest 70 km/h easing

Sunday: Cloudy with sunny periods and scattered flurries. .High minus 5, winds southeast 20 gusting 40 km/h
Light snowfall with around 5 cm accumulation expected. Possibly locally heavier amounts.  Freezing levels around 800 m.

Monday: 30 cm or more for Whistler as another fairly intense 988mb low will approach off Vancouver island  by 7am Monday.Freezing levels rising to around 1400 m-1500m. Strong SE winds

Tuesday: Unsettled air in the wake of tMonday storm bringing light or moderate snowfall. Light winds, freezing levels around 1000 m
