Incredible wind gusts

The main part of the storm has cleared through with gusts topping 140-170km/ph at horstman hut. Gusts at roundhouse hit 167.7 km/ph at 7:45pm. I'm not sure if that's a record but it has to be close. Even the valley this evening is getting big wind gusts. The low has passed just to the north of us bringing high winds in the alpine. During the last 3 days we've received 112cm of new snow bringing epic powder skiing conditions. We hit 300cm''s at pig alley at 3:30pm this afternoon. It would appear that La Nina is back. Freezing levels today topped out at about 900m despite poor freezing level predictions by numerous agencies.

Remnants of today's storm at 9:30pm the low is clearly visible just to the north

Outlook for the week.

A few things seem certain, all though computer models are constantly changing, good shredding will continue, cooler air, and more snow.

By Wednesday cooler air will start to come down from the gulf of Alaska as a northwest flow begins to establish expect 5-15cm everyday later in the week all though larger amounts are forecast Thursday.

Clear and cold by Friday with maybe some more systems in behind Sunday.
