Increasing cloudiness this afternoon

A ridge of high pressure is over the region this morning, an approaching frontal system from the southwest will bring cloud over the valley this afternoon. The air is still cold aloft so we could get some instability and cumulus development, but that will be increasingly suppressed by high pressure building aloft.
Snow is in the forecast for the alpine as pacific frontal system hits the coast Monday. Unsettled conditions in behind the system with a mix of sun, cloud, and showers.
