Good news and bad news in the weather department this morning. The latest weather models now show the main flow of the incoming system to be a bit to south of us. Mt Baker. Good news is freezing levels will stay just above the valley floor washing away more valley snow and dog poo.
Increasing cloud cover as the day progress as a significant low pressure develops off the coast. A warm front approaches our area for this evening. Freezing level to rise to around 1250 meters.
Synopsis: A vigorous Pacific frontal system will bring heavy precipitation late Tuesday night and Wednesday.

Tuesday Night: 10cm overnight. Freezing level around 1200 m. Southwest winds increasing to 60 km/h at ridgetop.
Wednesday: 10-20cm new snow. Freezing level around 1300 m. Southwest winds 60 km/h.
Thursday: 5-10cm new snow. Freezing level 800 m. Gusty westerly winds becoming northwest later on.
