A series of pacific systems

The first in a wave of several warm frontal systems is on the doorstep this morning. Rain will be heaviest this morning before easing in the wake of a trailing cold front. A 960mb low in the Gulf of Alaska is due to make landfall on Wednesday with strong winds 100km/ph plus in the alpine. On the positive side we will probably see another 1m of snow in the high alpinealpine and freezing levels reaching 2200m.  70-100mm of rain is forecast with Wednesday night system. Dramatic cooling late in the day Thursday with a unsettled conditions behind the storm.
