Snowfall warning

A long period of snowfall, with total amounts of 20 to 30 cm is expected.

More snow expected today and tonight.

A Pacific front over the British Columbia coast will continue to spread snow to the south coast today. The Arctic air that has been with us for nearly two weeks will finally be flushed out by milder Pacific air. The heavy snow may be mixed with rain overnight near West Vancouver. As usual, snowfall will be highly variable. Snowfall amounts of 20 to 30 cm are likely by Monday morning.
