Snow then Cool air

A pacific frontal system just to the north will bring periods of snow today from the northwest. Cool air will begin to filter into the valleys tommorow. Sunshine with cold temperatures are in store for most of the week. Long range models show a northwest flow setting up next weekend.

Sunday: Moderate to heavy precipitation with strong southwesterly winds. Freezing level rising to 1400m in the afternoon.

 Monday: Clearing skies with moderate to strong north-westerly winds.

Tuesday: Mostly dry. Freezing level dropping close to valley bottom. Moderate to strong northwesterly winds. Lows minus 18. High minus 12.Alpine winds northeast 20 km/h
Wednesday. Afternoon freezing level near 800 meters.Low minus 12. High near minus 7.Alpine winds becoming northeast 20 km/h
