A fairly windy and warm pacific front is over the area this morning. Winds up top of the peak are 60 gusting 90 out of the southwest. Precipitation should be in the from of wet snow today, some cold air is still trapped in the valley this morning and it's snowing down here. Snow up above 1800m will last well into the morning tommorow, Friday is when the forecast gets a little tricky. The weather models are all over the place on the next 3 days.
A ridge of high pressure offshore to the south of us will gradully move north deflecting systems towards Alaska. A brief flow of slightly cooler air for the weekend looks likely. Then it's back to some fairly benign weather for early next week and warm.
Thursday: Periods of snow; 5-15cm. Freezing level around 1800m. Winds are moderate to strong from the W-SW.
Tonight and into Friday: Periods of snow in the morning then tapering; 10-20cm. Freezing level as high as 2000m, lowering to 1700m late in the day or overnight. Winds are moderate to strong from the SW-NW.
Saturday should be cooler with a flow out of the northwest, and some breaks.
