A weak disturbance is crossing the south coast today bringing cloud and occasional flurries to the mountains. A 982mb low just north of Vancouver island on Wednesday morning will bring more intense precipitation making landfall in the early afternoon. Freezing levels will be on the rise with this one to around 1500-1700m. Another system will slide up from the south Thursday afternoon. In the long range the pacific looks pretty active for the next week if computer models are right Sunday looks to be another big one. It looks like freezing levels through the week should stay somewhat constant around 1400m or 1500m during the week.

Tuesday: Around 10 cm new snow. Alpine winds southeast 30 gusting 40km/h. Freezing level around 800 m.
Wednesday: A stronger system will bring around 30 cm new snow to coastal areas and around 20 cm to inland areas. The freezing level will rise to around 1500 m. Alpine winds southeast 30 gusting 60 km/h.
Thursday: A further 15-25 cm new snow is expected. Freezing level initially around 1500 m then dropping to 800 m later in the day. This snowfall depends whether it comes up from the south as forecast.
