Sunny skies / building high pressure

A building ridge of high pressure is going to be the dominant weather feature for the next week or so. A arctic ridge came through Tuesday night bringing with it cold modified arctic air. A mild southwest flow and a building ridge of high pressure offshore will add to the ridge and will bring a strong temperature inversion with it by tomorrow morning . Freezing levels are forecast to climb towards 3200m by the weekend. Valley temperatures will remain cooler as the warm air aloft traps cold air in the valley. The jet stream is well to the north for the foreseeable future. Not exactley the weather pattern were used to in November.
