Arctic high pressure

Wind off the peak Tuesday
A large pool of cold air has descended from the north bringing with it northerly winds in the alpine. The long range computer models show that this weather will stick around for the next week. A large ridge of high pressure offshore is not helping the situation.. Winds have been fairly strong out of the north for the last 12 hrs 30-60km/ ph in the alpine. Expect sunny and cold weather for the next week, maybe a weak system Thursday looks like the island might get it not us..Models show a possible system approaching from the southwest by Wednesday next week. Watch for frostbite in the alpine! Get thiose snow guns going...

-17.61C at peak this morning winds were strong from the north all night 40 gusting 60 km/ph.

-16.2 at Roundhouse light winds

-10.2C Creekside winds are calm
